Happy Wednesday exists for one reason: to give T-girls who are nervous, unsure or completely inexperienced a gentle, unhurried first step out en femme.

No crowd. No pressure. No expectation that you know what you’re doing. Just a small, friendly room, a team who’ve helped a lot of girls through their first time, and as long as you need to get ready.

HOW THE DAY WORKS — AND WHY IT’S CLEVER

Happy Wednesday runs from 11am to 2pm, and your entry also includes admission to the main Lovejoys event, which starts at 1pm.

That overlap is the whole point. You arrive in the quiet, take your time changing, get your make-up done if you’d like it, and settle in while the house is still calm. By the time the main event begins and the room fills up, you’re already comfortable, already dressed, already there. No walking into a busy room as the new face.

THE HOUSE

A bar, cloakroom, large reception area and video lounge — plus comfortable, private changing facilities where you can transform at your own pace and store your belongings safely.

GETTING THERE

We’re close to Sutton station, with regular trains from London Victoria, London Bridge and on Thameslink services.

There’s no on-site parking, but plenty of nearby side roads are free of restrictions. Please note Sutton is within the ULEZ zone.
