Created to help diversify a music scene traditionally dominated by cisgender men, Vinyl Bitch champions femme and non-binary turntablists by providing opportunities to perform, network, and develop their skills in front of an encouraging audience. Whether you’re an experienced vinyl collector or picking up a record for the very first time, everyone is welcome to get involved.
The evening features pre-booked DJ sets from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, followed by an open session where anyone can jump behind the decks, play spontaneous sets, collaborate back-to-back with new friends, or simply enjoy experimenting with music in a relaxed atmosphere. For beginners, introductory vinyl tutorials are available at the start of the evening, and if you don’t own any records, don’t worry—vinyl is provided, making the event accessible to newcomers as well as seasoned DJs.
Hosted at Dalston Superstore, one of London’s most iconic LGBTQIA+ venues, Vinyl Bitch takes place in a vibrant and inclusive space renowned for its programme of club nights, live performances, workshops, and community events.
