Originally launched as a small community gathering at the London LGBTQ+ Centre, Queer Open Decks has grown into a popular monthly event that brings together LGBTQ+ DJs from across London and beyond. The evening is designed to support emerging talent, encourage collaboration, and provide opportunities for DJs of all experience levels to develop their skills in a friendly and inclusive environment.
Throughout the event, participants can sign up for a series of DJ sets, with scheduled performance slots available both in advance and on the night. Whether you’re keen to play your latest mix, practise behind professional equipment, or gain confidence performing in front of an audience, Queer Open Decks provides the perfect opportunity to showcase your music and receive support from fellow DJs.
The event caters for a wide range of DJ setups, including vinyl turntables, CDJs, USBs, digital software, laptops, and DJ controllers, making it accessible regardless of your preferred mixing style or experience level.
Hosted in the upstairs bar at Dalston Superstore, one of East London’s most iconic LGBTQIA+ venues, the event takes place in a welcoming space renowned for supporting queer artists, performers, musicians, and community initiatives.
