Torture Garden – London’s Legendary Fetish & Body Art Institution

111 Cremer Business Centre, London E2 8HD

Torture Garden is the world’s most iconic fetish and body art club — a globally recognised sanctuary for radical self-expression, creative freedom, and immersive nightlife. More than just a club, TG is a living, breathing community where fantasy, fashion, performance, and underground culture collide to create an experience unlike anything else.

Renowned for its uncompromising dress code, theatrical production, and extraordinary crowd, Torture Garden invites guests to leave the everyday behind and step into a world of extreme beauty, imagination, and liberation. Here, the crowd is the spectacle, and every outfit, performance, and interaction contributes to the unforgettable atmosphere.

The Experience

Monthly London events welcome 1,000–2,500 guests, transforming multi-room venues into vast underground playgrounds of music, performance, art, and desire. Each space offers its own unique environment — from pulsating dance floors and extravagant ballrooms to immersive installations, dungeon play zones, and intimate couples’ spaces.

Guests are free to shape their own journey: dance all night, explore fetish spaces, discover underground music, connect with like-minded souls, or simply absorb the spectacle. Torture Garden is not a passive experience — it thrives on participation, creativity, and fearless self-expression.

Smaller-scale experiences such as TG Boat Parties and Pearl Necklace Supper Club events offer a more intimate take on the TG universe, delivering exclusivity, theatrical dining, and immersive storytelling.

Global Reach

Alongside its legendary London events, Torture Garden hosts regular international editions in Edinburgh, Rome, Berlin, Tokyo, New York, and Los Angeles, as well as special guest appearances at elite fetish and alternative festivals worldwide. TG is recognised globally as the gold standard of fetish nightlife.

Origins & Legacy

Founded in 1990 by Allen Pelling and David Wood, Torture Garden emerged as a radical response to the conservative alternative nightlife of the time. Their vision fused industrial music, fetish fashion, avant-garde performance, conceptual art, and extreme creativity into a single multi-sensory experience.

From its first gathering of just 100 people, TG rapidly evolved into a cultural phenomenon, reshaping the global fetish scene and influencing generations of club culture, designers, musicians, and performers.

Today, the club is led by Charlotte Hellicar, Company Director and General Manager, alongside Assistant Manager Yasmin Kay, who oversees guest experience, dress code compliance, and community engagement — ensuring TG remains both fiercely creative and impeccably run.

Dress Code Philosophy

Torture Garden is world-famous for its strict and visionary dress code. This is not fancy dress — it is transformation.

Guests are encouraged to explore fetish, fantasy, performance fashion, latex, leather, avant-garde couture, DIY creations, theatrical costumes, body paint, and conceptual styling. Individual imagination is celebrated, and boundaries are meant to be pushed.

If your outfit wouldn’t cause a stir on the street, it won’t be enough inside TG. There is no such thing as “too much” — this is a space for extremes, experimentation, and fearless creativity.
